Movinig upwards along the pole, the picture changes sequentially: first fructosans disappear, then their intermediates, leaving only fuctose, glucose, andl suicrose. On the other hand, in the top-most section of the pole, the seat of lower-head and btulbel formatio<n, the fructosans ad their intermediates reappear; the entire picture im fact similar to that of the carbohydrates in the iem.
